Quality Inspector / Administrator
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Quality Inspector / Administrator to join our manufacturing team. The role will involve carrying out quality checks on moulded products, maintaining accurate records and providing general administrative support to the production and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect finished and in-process moulded products to ensure they meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Carry out visual and dimensional quality checks, identifying defects, damage or inconsistencies.
- Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation.
- Complete production, inspection and non-conformance paperwork.
- Report quality issues to the relevant supervisor or production team.
- Assist with investigating quality issues and identifying potential causes.
- Maintain accurate databases, spreadsheets and production records.
- Support general administration within the quality and production departments.
- Assist with stock checks, product labelling and traceability records.
- Liaise with production staff to ensure quality requirements are understood and followed.
- Ensure paperwork and records are completed correctly and on time.
- Follow company health & safety, quality and environmental procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
Requirements
- Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing or production is desirable.
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive inspection and checking tasks.
- Good basic IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and email.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Able to accurately complete paperwork and maintain records.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams.
- Able to identify and report issues confidently.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines.
- Previous experience within a moulding, plastics or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
