We are recruiting motivated Lettings Negotiators on behalf of an established independent estate agency with a strong focus on local knowledge and personal service.

Our client is open to considering candidates across its locations, allowing you to discuss the most suitable office for your experience and commute.

The role

You will help tenants find suitable homes and support landlords in securing the right tenants for their properties. From handling enquiries and conducting viewings to negotiating offers and coordinating with the administration team, you will combine proactive sales activity with excellent customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Registering applicants and understanding their requirements, budget and moving timescale.
  • Matching applicants with suitable properties and arranging viewings.
  • Conducting viewings and providing prompt feedback to landlords.
  • Following up enquiries and viewings to generate offers.
  • Negotiating rental offers and communicating agreed terms accurately.
  • Generating valuation opportunities through prospecting, referrals and existing contacts.
  • Building relationships with landlords and maintaining regular communication.
  • Working with the administration team to support referencing, tenancy paperwork and move-ins.
  • Keeping property records and CRM activity accurate and up to date.
  • Developing your local rental market knowledge and working towards agreed targets.

About you

You will ideally have previous experience in residential lettings, with the confidence to build relationships and convert enquiries into agreed lets.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A proactive approach to winning business and generating opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a results-focused mindset.
  • Good organisation and consistent follow-up habits.
  • A professional, approachable manner.
  • An understanding of the lettings process and relevant compliance requirements.
  • The ability to work independently and contribute to a team.

The opportunity

Join an independent agency where honest advice and personal service are central to the business. You will have the opportunity to contribute to branch performance, develop your lettings experience and build lasting relationships with landlords and tenants.
