The Role You'll provide clear, practical legal advice across a range of private client matters, managing files efficiently and ensuring clients receive a professional and responsive service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on Wills, trusts and probate matters.
- Managing files and progressing matters through to conclusion.
- Communicating clearly and promptly with clients, colleagues and other solicitors.
- Taking responsibility for billing, invoicing and working towards agreed targets.
- Building relationships with existing clients and helping to attract new business.
- Supporting the firm's marketing and business development activities.
- Identifying opportunities to cross-refer clients to other legal services within the firm.
- Working independently and collaboratively, including providing instructions to support staff where appropriate.
- Keeping up to date with changes in law, practice and procedure, and maintaining continuing professional development.
About You
- A qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate.
- Sound knowledge and experience of Wills, Trusts and Probate law.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain legal matters clearly in plain English.
- A sympathetic and client-focused approach when dealing with sensitive personal circumstances.
- Organised, professional and able to manage matters effectively.
- Proactive about professional development, marketing and business development.
- Confident working independently and as part of a team.
