CNC Turner (Skilled/Indentured Skilled) - Night Shift
Location: Yeovil (Honeywell Aerospace)
Shifts: 34.5 hours per week - Sun 22:00-07:00; Mon-Fri 00:00-07:00
Pay: £16.13 - £24.20 per hour (dependent on experience)

What you'll be doing:
Manufacture parts from start to finish on centre lathes to aerospace specifications
Set and run bespoke work on 2-axis CNC lathes
Perform OCQ (Operator Control of Quality) checks, including stamping to confirm assembly quality to Honeywell and customer standards
Interpret engineering drawings and follow process layout and documentation procedures
Maintain on-time delivery by completing work to plan and to the required standard
Work effectively in a lean environment and support continuous improvement
Measure and verify components using hand measuring equipment (e.g., Vernier, micrometer, thread and plug gauges)
Follow strict Health & Safety practices and company processes at all times
Work collaboratively in a team environment and report to the Team Lead
What you'll bring:
Experience working with small components and high-precision work
CNC turning or related machining experience (manual turning welcome)
A strong understanding of safety-critical aerospace expectations
PC literacy to support job-related systems and documentation
A quality-first mindset with consistent measurement and verification
Teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to use initiative
Desirable: Mazatrol/Mazak experience
Desirable: Engineering apprenticeship (but not essential)
Additional information:
Training will be provided as required (e.g., PC skills, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, 5S, HOS principles and general Health & Safety)
This role is subject to BPSS eligibility screening, including proof of legal right to work, a UK DBS criminal records check, and drugs screening
