TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants in Ashford with the recruitment of a Tax Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a highly regarded and successful accountancy practice. Depending on your experience and career aspirations, the position can be tailored towards either a personal tax focused role or a broader mixed tax capacity.
You will manage a varied portfolio of clients while supporting the wider tax team and contributing to the continued growth of the department. The position will involve a combination of compliance, tax planning and advisory work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of tax clients
- Reviewing and preparing complex tax returns
- Providing proactive tax planning and advisory services
- Supporting clients with a range of personal and wider tax matters
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team
- Supporting the development and training of less experienced colleagues
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients
- Assisting the partners with more complex tax assignments
Requirements
- Strong tax experience gained within an accountancy practice
- ATT, CTA or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
- Strong technical knowledge of UK taxation
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Previous experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues would be beneficial
