The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils within the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom materials
- Supporting pupils with varying abilities and educational needs
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Promoting pupils' confidence, independence, and wellbeing
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and academic development
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar setting
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, patient, and caring approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
