MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well established Practice based in Belfast , looking to recruit for a Qualified Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

A forward thinking Belfast based accountancy practice is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their team. The role will cover a varied mix of statutory and management accounts, tax compliance, client management and mentoring junior staff. With a strong focus on personalised advice, real-time reporting and cloud technology, the firm offers a modern approach to accountancy with a great client focused culture.

Job Duties of the Qualified Accountant Include:

• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key client facing contact.Prepare and review statutory and management accounts.Manage personal and corporate tax compliance and reviews.Lead client meetings and provide practical, commercial advice.Oversee, review and develop a team of junior accountants.Train and mentor junior staff, supporting their technical development.Build strong client relationships and take a proactive, advisory approach to client needs.

What You Need to be the Successful Accountant?

• ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE with strong practice experience.Experience in a small to mid-tier accountancy practice preferred.Strong Accounts background, with an interest in developing further into Tax.Client management experience desirable, with confidence dealing directly with business owners.Experience training or mentoring junior staff is highly desirable.ROI experience would be a strong advantage but not essentialCommercial, personable and proactive, with a genuine interest in building strong client relationships.
