Trainee Accountant- Newry
MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a global veterinary pharmaceutical company to recruit a trainee accountant for their growing finance team.
The Company:
Our client is a global pharmaceutical manufacturer specialising in the development and production of animal health medicines. The company supplies products internationally to over 120 countries and operates large-scale manufacturing facilities, offering the opportunity to join a recognised organisation with a strong presence in the local area.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the successful Trainee Accountant will be responsible for:
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Scheduling Accruals and Prepayments
- Assist with annual budget preparation, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and key financial reporting for business functions.
- Assist with month-end valuation of inventory
- Prepare financial reports and analysis
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities outlined in the job description
The Person:
The successful Trainee Accountant will meet the following criteria:
- Graduate in Accountancy/Finance (minimum 2:1)
- Ready to start studying to achieve the CIMA qualification
- At least 1 year's experience in a finance role
