My client, based in Brighton, is looking for a confident and personable Temporary Telemarketer to join their team for a short-term assignment in September.

The role involves making outbound telephone calls to a prepared list of contacts, inviting them to attend an upcoming event. You will be provided with a clear script to follow and will be responsible for explaining the event, including the date, time, location and key information, while answering basic questions where appropriate.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is confident speaking to people on the telephone and enjoys engaging with a wide range of individuals. Previous telemarketing, telesales, customer service or telephone-based experience would be advantageous, although a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are equally important.

• Make outbound calls to a prepared list of contacts.
• Follow a clear telephone script while maintaining a friendly and natural conversation.
• Introduce and explain the upcoming event clearly and professionally.
• Provide key event information and answer basic questions from callers.
• Record relevant information accurately following each call.
• Engage positively with callers and encourage attendance at the event.
• Maintain a professional and polite telephone manner at all times.
• Handle different responses confidently and professionally.
• Meet expected call and activity levels during the assignment.
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent verbal communication skills.
• Is confident and comfortable making outbound telephone calls.
• Has a clear, friendly and professional telephone manner.
• Can follow a script accurately while still building rapport with callers.
• Has good listening skills and the ability to respond appropriately.
• Is organised, reliable and punctual.
• Can work independently and stay focused during a busy calling period.
• Has previous telemarketing, telesales, customer service or administration experience (desirable).
