Role Highlights

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Establish a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom where all pupils feel supported and encouraged to succeed.
  • Promote pupils' academic progress alongside their social and emotional development.
  • Adapt and differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners across a range of abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment effectively to inform future teaching.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other school staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities, trips, events, and school initiatives.


About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching within a UK primary school setting, with KS1 or KS2 experience desirable.
  • Have a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Be enthusiastic, nurturing, adaptable, and committed to high-quality teaching.
  • Have excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Be passionate about helping children achieve their academic and personal potential.
  • Have high expectations for learning, behaviour, and pupil development.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team.
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive appropriate induction, mentoring, and support.
