Resourcing Consultant

Established for over 40 years, Diamond Construction & Engineering Recruitment is a market leader specialising in the supply of skilled trades across the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) construction sector.

We work with major Tier 1 M&E main contractors, alongside established Tier 2 and Tier 3 subcontractors, supporting major projects across London and the surrounding Home Counties.

Our clients operate across data centres, commercial, residential, aviation, healthcare, education and industrial projects.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and driven Resourcing Consultant to join our successful team in our Bank office. We operate on a, 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home, basis.

The Role

Your primary responsibility will be to source, attract and qualify high-quality M&E trades candidates, working closely with our experienced Recruitment Consultants to support live vacancies and secure new starts.

The roles we predominantly recruit include Electricians, Testers, Foremen, Electrical Mates & Improvers, Plumbers, Pipe fitters, Plumber Mates and Skilled & Unskilled Labour.

Key Responsibilities

• Source candidates through our extensive database, job boards, adverts, referrals and other channels.
• Screen and qualify candidates by telephone and face-to-face where required.
• Build and maintain a strong, targeted candidate database.
• Support Consultants with candidate shortlists, availability and site bookings.
• Complete compliance checks including Right to Work, ID, references and CSCS, JIB, ECS, IPAF and other relevant qualifications.
• Carry out first-day check-ins and ongoing candidate welfare calls.
• Track new starters and finishers and chase time sheets ahead of weekly deadlines.
• Work with Consultants to create effective job adverts and manage responses.
• Generate market intelligence and potential sales leads through candidate conversations.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and activity on the database.
• Work towards agreed activity and performance targets, including calls, candidates generated, qualifications and references.

Skills & Experience

Previous recruitment or resourcing experience is advantageous but not essential. We are also open to candidates from sales, telesales, customer service or other target-driven environments who demonstrate the right attitude and potential.

You will need to be:

• Confident, persuasive and comfortable speaking to people on the telephone.
• Organised with strong administrative skills.
• Commercially minded and motivated by targets and KPIs.
• Determined, resilient and able to persevere when things don't go your way.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure.
• A strong relationship builder with a positive and professional attitude.

Recruitment experience isn't essential - attitude, resilience and a desire to succeed are.
