Administration Assistant

Salary: £14 - £14.50 Hours: 60 - 74 Fortnightly Contract: Temporary to Permanent Location: Sandwich

We are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join our client's HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to join an established business, supporting the HR Manager with a varied range of administrative duties. The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, proactive and confident handling confidential and sensitive information.

Role
  • Providing general administrative support to the HR team
  • Creating and maintaining employee personnel files
  • Maintaining confidential employee information in line with GDPR requirements
  • Assisting with HR documents, spreadsheets and databases
  • Supporting HR projects and employee engagement activities
  • Maintaining employee training records and assisting with training allocation
  • Coordinating interviews, internal visits and visitors
  • Preparing recruitment documentation and new starter induction packs
  • Supporting the onboarding process, including obtaining ID documents and employment references
  • Sending new starter forms and ordering ID badges
  • Maintaining the recruitment mailbox
  • Updating organisational charts and staff notice boards
  • Updating employee information on internal HR systems
  • Assisting with clock card anomalies and pre-payroll reports
  • Supporting staff social and engagement events
  • Scanning and filing
  • Taking confidential notes and minutes when required
  • Providing general administration support to other areas of the business as required
About You
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an office administration role
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • An Administration qualification at Level 2 or above is desirable
