Job Description

We are recruiting for a Performance and Development Specialist to join our team at the Capita Health Assessment Advisor Service (HAAS).

Job title: Performance & Development Specialist

What you'll be doing
  • Identify learning needs and capability gaps, using performance data and stakeholder insight to shape learning priorities.
  • Design engaging learning solutions across classroom, virtual, digital and blended learning environments.
  • Develop learning materials, toolkits and resources that support performance and capability development.
  • Facilitate workshops, onboarding programmes and development events both virtually and face-to-face.
  • Partner with managers, subject matter experts and stakeholders to deliver impactful learning solutions.
  • Lead learning and development projects from concept through to implementation and evaluation.
  • Maximise the use of learning technology and the FUSE platform to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Measure learning impact, using feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
  • Proven experience designing and delivering engaging learning solutions, including blended and digital learning.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, both virtually and face-to-face.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning technologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to analyse data and translate insights into meaningful learning solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Copilot.
  • Adaptable, resilient and passionate about improving performance through learning.
  • Desirable CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification (or working towards).
  • Experience with learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Synthesia or ElevenLabs.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Coaching and/or mentoring experience.
  • Experience developing blended and digital learning programmes.
About HAAS

The Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) arranges and carries out assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC). The purpose of the assessment is to understand how an illness or disability affects a person's daily life. After the assessment, the DWP/DfC makes the decision as to whether the individual will receive benefits.
