Work closely with hiring managers across Suffolk County Council, helping them recruit the people they need to deliver services for the people of Suffolk
Manage your own recruitment portfolio, acting as the main HR Recruitment contact
Provide practical advice, helping managers attract the right candidates, deliver fair, inclusive and effective recruitment processes, ensure appointments are compliant and create a positive experience for candidates
Build strong relationships with the services you support, understand the challenges they're facing and work with them to find the right recruitment solutions
Lead and contribute to recruitment and HR improvement projects
Provide advice on sponsorship, immigration and right to work requirements
Support employees through the redeployment process
Represent the organisation at jobs fairs and careers events
Deliver training and information/knowledge sharing events
Qualifications
Solid understanding of recruitment and experience of providing advice and support throughout the recruitment process
Ideally have worked in an in-house recruitment or HR environment
Genuine passion for helping people and delivering a great service
Strong working knowledge of recruitment best practice and employment legislation
Confident building relationships, advising managers and understanding their recruitment needs
Organised and able to manage a busy workload with competing priorities
Proactive, taking ownership of your work and looking for opportunities to improve
Understanding of UK immigration and Home Office sponsorship requirements (desirable)
