£90 - 95k basic

Portsmouth - Hybrid with one day a week in the office and 4 days WFH

Your new opportunity

This is a predominantly hands off role, where you'll be line managing individuals, monitoring performance and owning the standard of development, ensuring long-term performance and productivity.

A key part of this role will be fostering and promoting a collaborative, productive environment where your reports are motivated to share ideas and improve process.

You'll be reporting into the C-suite and will have visible influence over how this part of the business runs.

You'll be joining a global SaaS technology organisation that is the market leader in their sector. They are passionate about software and technology and are continually striving to be better and stay clear of their competitors.

Although extremely well established with a huge customer base, they are continuing to grow and develop new products whilst embracing AI and it's capabilities.

This is an established, profitable, founder-led business rather than a slow corporate or messy start-up.

What you'll bring

You've come from a strong development background but your passion now lies in people management and inspiring others. Some skills and knowledge you'll bring:

• Extensive experience of managing a development team.
• Strong experience in managing and monitoring engineering performance and implementing and driving continuous improvement.
• A background in hands on Software Development and experience in the following tech stack: C#, .NET, Azure, SQL.
• The ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and to challenge Tech leads and other senior stakeholders.
