Job Description

The Role

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Experienced Conveyancer to join a supportive and established property team. In this role you will manage a varied caseload of residential and commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional who enjoys autonomy, client contact, and delivering an excellent service.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a full caseload of residential and commercial sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, leasehold and freehold transactions from instruction through to exchange and completion.
  • Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements and other legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Check title documents, leases and searches, and prepare detailed title reports for clients.
  • Maintain accurate case records, submit SDLT forms and complete Land Registry applications.
  • Ensure all matters adhere to AML requirements, CQS standards, Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal compliance procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers, surveyors and solicitors to progress transactions smoothly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referrers and agents, supporting business development and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to administrative staff and paralegals where required.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an organised, commercially aware and client-focused property professional who can independently manage a busy conveyancing caseload.

  • Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with experience managing conveyancing files from instruction to completion.
  • Experience of residential and commercial property transactions, including leasehold and freehold matters.
  • Familiarity with the Land Registry portal and online search platforms.
  • Proficiency with case management software such as LEAP is desirable.

The Hours

Full-time, office-based role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Salary

£30,000-£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
