We re working with a growing food manufacturing business looking for a Quality & Compliance Supervisor who wants to be involved in more than just day-to-day quality checks.

You ll have the opportunity to help create new products, improve quality standards, influence food safety and work closely with the Technical Manager and wider production team.

This is a genuinely varied position where you ll be involved from product concept right through to launch, while also playing a key role in maintaining and improving site quality and food safety standards.

You won t be stuck behind a desk. You ll work across NPD, suppliers, production, quality, audits and continuous improvement, giving you fantastic exposure and the chance to build your technical career.

YOUR IMPACT

You ll be responsible for:

  • Taking NPD projects from concept to launch
  • Coordinating suppliers, specifications, samples and technical information
  • Keeping product specifications and development files accurate and up to date
  • Working with customers to coordinate samples and project requirements
  • Supporting the Technical Manager with food safety and quality systems
  • Monitoring production standards and identifying opportunities to improve
  • Investigating quality issues and driving corrective actions
  • Supporting supplier approval and maintaining technical records
  • Getting involved in BRCGS, customer and internal audits
  • Managing traceability exercises and supporting recall procedures
  • Delivering training around GMP, quality and food safety
  • Helping drive a culture of continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU

We re not looking for someone who simply ticks boxes.

We want someone who is curious, organised, hands-on and keen to make things better.

You ll ideally have:

  • Experience within food or drinks manufacturing
  • A background in QA, Technical, Compliance or NPD
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety legislation and quality systems
  • Strong organisation and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confidence working with production teams, suppliers and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Good IT / Microsoft Office skills

HACCP, Internal Auditor, BRCGS or retailer technical experience would be a bonus.
