- Develop and implement Luminate's annual People plan across the employee lifecycle
- Advise the Director, COO, Executive and Leadership Teams, and managers on workforce planning, performance, and people risk
- Lead employee relations, complex cases, and investigations
- Own compensation, benefits, payroll execution, market benchmarking, pay equity, and annual compensation planning
- Lead talent acquisition and onboarding, managing external recruiters and monitoring recruitment metrics
- Own performance, development, and succession systems
- Manage global employment and People operations, including compliance, EOR/PEO relationships, leave, policies, records, data privacy, and offboarding
- Maintain People technology, data governance, analytics, engagement surveys, and action planning
- Lead and develop the People team
- Manage external People consultants and service providers
- Coach leaders and managers on recruitment, performance, development, change, team dynamics, and employee relations
- Produce people dashboards, workforce and pay analysis, and leadership recommendations
- Partner with Finance, Legal/Risk, Systems & IT, and Operations on integrated workflows, policies, controls, and communications
- Maintain knowledge of employment requirements, market practice, and emerging People technology across relevant jurisdictions
Requirements

- Clear and courageous communication, including difficult messages and principled challenge
- Leadership and people management experience
- Ability to translate data, feedback, and market evidence into insight and action
- Operational rigour, prioritisation, and project delivery in a lean environment
- Essential experience in compensation, benefits, and payroll execution, including market benchmarking and pay equity
- Essential experience in workforce planning and performance management
- Desirable experience in employment law and compliance across relevant jurisdictions
- Desirable experience in People technology, data governance, and analytics, including thoughtful adoption of new tools and AI
- Experience across the full employee lifecycle
- Understanding of international philanthropy or other mission-driven organisational contexts
- Preparedness to travel internationally, including 2-3 trips to other Luminate regions per year
