Transport & Logistics Courier & Postal Driver Ipswich, Suffolk Up to £13.01 / hour

Vertas is looking fora Courier/Postal Driver to join our team based atGipping Court, Ipswich (IP1 2EB). Who are Vertas? Based at Gipping Court, Ipswich. IP1 2EB you will be working on a 0 hour contract to cover sickness and annual leave. You will pick up your vehicle from Gipping Court and return it there at the end of your shift. All offers will be subject to satisfactory compliance screening, including right to work in the UK and references. In addition, due to the nature of the role the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure will be undertaken.

• Preparing, delivering and collecting post from schools and other locations
• Transporting library books to and from libraries across Suffolk
• Occasionally moving light furniture (such as chairs and tables)
• Driving a large van to complete a daily route
• Working independently to manage your time and route efficiently
• Engaging positively with library personnel and colleagues
• Ensuring accurate delivery using a PDA system
• Following correct procedures to ensure safety and excellent service

• Full manual driving licence(clean licence preferred)
• Experience drivinglarge vans
• Ideally previous delivery driver/courier experience
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with library staff
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and responsibly
• Reliable and committed to high standards
