Upper KS2 Teacher
Are you an experienced Primary Teacher who thrives in Upper KS2 ?
Aspire People are currently recruiting teachers with strong KS2 experience for long-term opportunities from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys preparing pupils for the next stage of their education, has strong curriculum knowledge, and is confident supporting pupils as they become increasingly independent learners.
Previous experience with SATs preparation, assessment and upper-KS2 expectations would be highly advantageous.
The Role:
Taking responsibility for a Year 5 or Year 6 class
Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons
Preparing pupils for SATs where appropriate
Using assessment to identify and address gaps in learning
Differentiating lessons effectively
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and attainment
Supporting pupils' independence and transition to secondary education
Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
We're Looking For:
QTS and recent UK primary teaching experience
Strong Year 5 and/or Year 6 experience
Excellent knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum
Understanding of SATs and assessment
Strong classroom management skills
High expectations of pupil progress and behaviour
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
