SEN Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Shipston-on-Stour. The school is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with additional learning needs.

This is a full-time position starting in September and continuing on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will support the pupil's learning, social and emotional development, implement tailored support strategies.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities include:

• Supporting communication, understanding, and engagement using appropriate strategies
• Supporting access to the curriculum by adapting tasks, breaking learning into manageable steps
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals to ensure consistency and continuity of support.

Required Skills for SEN TA:

• Experience supporting children with Autism and additional needs
• Experience working within a Primary School or specialist provision
• Strong understanding of SEND support strategies
• Recent experience working within a UK school setting
