IT Engineer

Our client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide first, second and third-line IT support and help maintain and improve their IT infrastructure. You'll work closely with the IT Manager, supporting day-to-day operations, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the wider IT strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide IT support on-site and remotely, logging and resolving incidents through the ITSM system
• Support hardware, servers, networking equipment and cloud platforms
• Image, configure and deploy desktop, laptop and mobile devices
• Monitor backups and keep systems patched and up to date
• Cover for the IT Manager during leave or absence, including occasional on-call for major incidents
• Contribute to IT architecture, roadmaps and system upgrades

What you'll need

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between sites required)
• Relevant certification (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco or ITIL)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to undergo DBS clearance

Technical experience

Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra, Windows Server (2019+) with Hyper-V, networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, firewalls), telephony, backup software.

Desirable: Intune, Defender, Azure, SQL Server, Exchange, ESET, 3CX, Veeam
