An award-winning, top-tier law firm is seeking a Housing & Public Law Paralegal to join its London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Housing & Public Law Paralegal to gain hands-on experience within a highly regarded team, working on complex and meaningful cases while developing a long-term legal career. The role offers Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) for candidates qualifying through the SQE route, with the potential to progress to a Training Contract.
The successful Housing & Public Law Paralegal will join a leading multidisciplinary law firm recognised for its work across housing, public law and civil liberties. The team acts for individuals, charities, NGOs and public figures, offering high-quality work, excellent mentoring and genuine career progression.
As the Housing & Public Law Paralegal you will support solicitors across a varied caseload of housing and public law matters.
The role will include:
Assisting with case preparation and legal research
Reviewing and managing case documentation and evidence
Completing legal aid and funding applications
Liaising with clients, witnesses and third parties
Attending court hearings and conferences
Supporting billing and financial administration
Managing case files and ensuring deadlines are met
Providing general legal and administrative support to the team
You will be a motivated and organised individual with a genuine interest in Housing and Public Law.
The Housing & Public Law Paralegal must have:
A Law degree or postgraduate legal qualification
Previous legal experience is desirable, particularly within Housing or Public Law
Strong legal research and document analysis skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
Excellent client care and administrative skills
25,000 - 30,000 salary
