A Legal 500 and Chambers ranked law firm is seeking a Family Paralegal to join its growing Canterbury office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Paralegal looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive Family team, gaining exposure to a broad range of family law matters while working alongside experienced solicitors.
The successful Family Paralegal will join a well-established multi-office law firm with a strong reputation across Family Law. The team offers excellent training, hands-on experience and clear opportunities for long-term progression within a collaborative and supportive environment.
As the Family Paralegal you will support Fee Earners across a varied caseload of family matters.
The role will include:
Providing support on private family law matters
Managing client files and case management systems
Drafting letters, documents and correspondence
Attending client meetings and taking notes
Preparing and submitting public funding applications
Collating and redacting documents for Court bundles
Liaising with local authorities, Police, Courts and medical experts
Requesting and reviewing case documentation
Building relationships with clients and third parties
Ensuring the highest standards of client care throughout matters
You will be an organised and motivated individual with a genuine interest in Family Law.
The Family Paralegal must have:
LPC, BPTC or equivalent legal qualification, completed or in progress
Demonstrable interest in Family Law
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional and client-focused approach
Strong attention to detail
Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
26,000 - 30,000 salary
