Health and Care Volunteer (Hounslow)

For people recovering from illness, or who are facing a recent diagnosis, being able to stay in their own home can make all the difference.

Our Support at Home Volunteers provide a range of practical and emotional support, including befriending, shopping assistance, accompanying people to appointments, taking people for walks to build their confidence, helping them connect with community services for longer term support, and providing regular check in phone calls. Spread the power of kindness with us and help make a difficult and distressing time a little bit easier.

We would like you to:

• Be available to volunteer on a regular basis.
• At least once a week on weekdays for up to four hours each time. Service operating hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
• Available to commute within borough of Hounslow using public transport.
• Be able to commit to volunteering for a minimum of 6 months.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants will be asked to provide ID documents in support of the DBS check.
