Full product training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with long-term career prospects.
The RoleAs a Wiring Technician, you will be responsible for building, wiring and testing a range of electrical, electronic and hydraulic assemblies to engineering drawings and quality standards.
Your duties will include:- Building and wiring electrical assemblies and valve packs.
- Cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering and terminating wires and cables.
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Fault finding using test equipment such as Fluke meters.
- Wiring PCB boards and carrying out soldering where required.
- Mechanical assembly work using hand tools.
- Working from both electrical and, ideally, mechanical drawings.
- Completing quality documentation and production records.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and housekeeping.
- Supporting the wider production team with assembly and warehouse duties when required.
What We're Looking ForWe are keen to hear from candidates with experience in:
- Panel wiring or electrical assembly.
- Cutting, crimping, terminating and soldering cables.
- Reading and understanding electrical drawings and schematics.
- Electrical fault finding and testing using Fluke or similar equipment.
- Using hand tools in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Desirable experience includes:- PCB board wiring and assembly.
- Mechanical assembly experience.
- Reading mechanical drawings.
- Hydraulic assembly experience (training will be provided).
Qualifications & Experience- Previous experience in a wiring, panel wiring or electrical assembly role.
- BTEC, HNC or equivalent electrical qualification is desirable, although relevant industry experience is equally valued.
- We are not looking for degree-qualified engineers for this position.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new products and processes.
