Complex Care Nanny in Brockley, SE4. A part-time opportunity to provide sole care for identical one-year-old twin girls, one of whom has complex medical needs, in a warm and welcoming family home. Up to £25.00 gross per hour.
Jemima and Sarah are delightful twin girls who are approaching their first birthday. They are happy and easy to be with, each with a calm nature. Jemima is currently undergoing treatment for liver cancer (hepatoblastoma) and receives nutrition via an NG tube with a central line while continuing chemotherapy. Sarah is active and enjoys play; both follow a shared daily routine and benefit from opportunities to play, explore and learn.
The Role at a GlanceThis part-time role centers on providing sole care for both twins across two days each week. The nanny will manage the girls' shared routine while providing additional support for Jemima, including NG tube feeding and care related to ongoing treatment, ensuring both children receive equal warmth, attention and opportunities to learn, play and thrive. On occasion, the nanny may provide sole care for Sarah during hospital appointments. Community nurses visit the family home twice a week to provide Jemima's clinical care; support includes preparing equipment, comforting Jemima, and assisting the nursing team during procedures. Full training, including NG tube feeding, will be provided. There is a lunch break during the twins' afternoon nap and light child-related household duties. The family also has an older daughter, who is almost four years old and attends nursery; this role is dedicated to the twins. The role is 2 days per week, 9:00am to 6:00pm, ideally Wednesday and Friday, with flexibility on working days for the right candidate. Salary remains £20.00 - £25.00 gross per hour, depending on experience.
