Overview

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Role Overview

Applications are invited for 2 Consultant Urological Surgeons with a core interest in Urology and Benign Prostate Enlargement Services. The successful applicant must be experienced in all aspects of core urology; other sub specialty interests will be considered if they complement the department's spread of activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver core urological services at consultant level.
  • Participate in a 1 in 11 out of hours on call rota.
  • Provide elective sessions from QEUH, Victoria Ambulatory Care Facility and Gartnavel General Hospital.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
  • Eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
  • UK trained clinicians with evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from interview date.
  • CESR pathway doctors are only eligible after CESR is awarded.
  • Non UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
  • Full time posts on a 10 PA basis, with shift pattern full time.
