Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live. Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation. Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?
ResponsibilitiesThis opportunity is a shared external opportunity, you can join and log hours as normal but it is provided by a different organisation.
As an Opiate Support Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting the Opiate Team at CGL. You will be a valued member of the Opiate team and liaise with the Recovery Coordinators assisting them in their caseload management and supporting their service users through all aspects of their treatment journey.
You will undertake various administrative roles which will include booking appointments, completing drug screens with clients, uploading documents onto our system, and liaising with external agencies such as GP surgeries and Pharmacies. In the Opiate Team we may support clients who may be open to 'Children's Services' or 'Mental Health Services' and part of your volunteering role will be to offer support to the clients through this process. This could include encouraging the clients to attend the groups at CGL and promoting the benefits of living a substance free lifestyle for their future.
A thorough induction will be provided with on-site training in relation to substance misuse and relapse prevention.
