In-house Commercial Property Lawyer

  • Location: London (Hybrid Working)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Contract: 12-month FTC

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join the in-house legal team of a successful professional services business, providing expert legal advice across a broad range of property tenancy and landlord cases within the legal team. This role is ideal for a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4yrs PQE in property law cases and a keen sense for commercial acumen.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, agreements for lease, licences, and other supplemental documents on a large scale.
  • Provide advice on landlord and tenant disputes and commercial conveyancing.
  • Instruct and liaise with external lawyers, including international law firms for properties abroad.
  • Address a wide variety of property queries from across the network.
  • Collaborate with fit-out teams and surveyors to deliver projects to deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be a qualified solicitor with approximately 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Must have commercial landlord and tenant law expertise in a previous role.
  • In-house experience is highly beneficial but not mandatory, as long as you have property law experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant law and associated practice areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own caseload, identify risks, and present sound commercial solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent written and oral communication skills.
