About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and resilient Primary School Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Wickford, Essex on a short-term basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require a more tailored and nurturing approach to their education. The role involves working with small groups of learners who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education, helping to re-engage them and support both their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the primary curriculum
Support pupils with varying social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and external professionals
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

We are looking for a teacher who is:

A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
Experienced in primary education (KS1 or KS2)
Confident working with pupils with additional needs or SEMH (desirable)
Patient, empathetic, and resilient
Able to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learners
Committed to making a positive impact in an alternative setting
