Job Description

Data Protection Executive £35,000 Hybrid (3 Days in office) Birmingham City Centre

Our client is a Professional Services firm with an outstanding reputation. An opportunity has arisen for Data Protection Executive to join its dedicated Information Governance and Data Protection team in Birmingham city centre.

This is a hybrid role offering exposure to a broad range of data protection and information governance matters across public sector, housing and corporate transactions. You will support the Data Protection Department Leader and contribute to both client-facing and internal governance work.

This varied and busy role will entail:

  • Conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and governance reviews
  • Advising on data breaches and confidentiality matters
  • Managing Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Freedom of Information (FoI) responses
  • Supporting DP due diligence and data sharing documentation in corporate transactions
  • Reviewing legal enquiry responses and identifying data protection risks
  • Delivering data protection training to clients

Requirements

  • Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection legislation
  • Experience of advising and responding to SAR Request
  • Good Knowledge of FOI's and DPIAs
  • Strong written communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload with accuracy
