12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hybrid working on offer

Tony Alan is partnering with a well-established East Sussex organisation to hire an Employee Relations & HR Projects Partner on a 12-month FTC. This is a high-impact role in a business that genuinely values innovation, high standards, and empowering its people

In this role, you'll act as a key partner across the business, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day employee relations activity. You'll take the lead on a varied caseload, offering clear, pragmatic advice while helping managers navigate complex situations with confidence.

Alongside this, you'll play an important part in wider HR and organisational projects, ensuring employee relations considerations are built into change initiatives from the outset. This is a role where you can make a real impact-bringing a proactive, solutions-focused approach while ensuring everything is aligned with policy, employment law, and best practice

Such duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Work in close partnership with managers and senior leadership to anticipate business needs, influence practical discussions, and support confident decision-making on complex and sensitive matters
  • Manage the flow of management information to and from key stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and evaluation to support decision-making.
  • Strengthen managers' capability to confidently handle employee relations matters
  • Coordinate and manage allocated employee relations cases, providing advice and support throughout investigations
  • Advise and support managers in the effective interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • Lead the creation and upkeep of ER templates, guidance, and toolkits aligned to policy and change initiatives
  • Undertake project work

The successful candidate will bring significant experience from an employee relations-focused role within a large, matrix organisation. You'll have strong expertise in managing complex ER casework, alongside a solid and up-to-date understanding of UK employment law and best practice. You'll be confident supporting organisational change and HR projects, with proven experience in developing, interpreting, and implementing people policies and procedures that drive business performance. A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach is key-you'll provide clear, commercially sound advice to managers, even in complex situations. Strong analytical skills are essential, with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and use insights to inform decision-making and deliver effective outcomes
