Overview:

Our client who are a in the manufacturing industry are currently seeking a Buyer to join their team to work closely with suppliers for procurement and internal teams for delivery materials on time.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Reading technical drawings and calculating materials needed for projects
• Attend supplier meetings
• Manage supplier relationships
• Source new suppliers to work with
• Liaise with project managers and manufacturing team
• Specify best materials for the project

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years working in a similar buyer position
• Experience buying materials including plastics, timbers and metals
• Good negotiating skills
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Team player
