We are recruiting for a nurse qualified Deputy Manager with experience of mental health and challenging behaviour to support a specialist care provider and highly regarded nursing service supporting adults with dementia and mental health needs.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager will support the day-to-day clinical and operational leadership of the home, ensuring consistently high standards of safety, compliance, and person-centred care. The position offers a predominantly supernumerary leadership presence with some clinical visibility on shift, providing the opportunity to influence culture, develop teams, and drive continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team
- Support governance, audits, incidents, and care planning to maintain safe, effective services
- Promote strong compliance aligned to CQC Fundamental Standards
- Contribute to recruitment, supervision, and colleague development
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and professionals
- Champion safeguarding, medication management, and health & safety
Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with active NMC registration
- Proven leadership experience within complex care, neurological, dementia, or mental health services
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and regulatory expectations
- Confident team leader able to coach, motivate, and develop others
- Organised, compassionate, and values-driven approach
