Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established law firm, supporting their busy team on a full-time, temporary basis. This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will play a key part in keeping the team running smoothly while delivering high-quality support.

The role:

You will provide dedicated administrative and organisational support to fee earners, ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing diaries, coordinating meetings, and arranging travel.
  • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and court bundles.
  • Maintaining and organising case files, ensuring accurate electronic filing and compliance with internal systems.
  • Acting as a professional point of contact for clients and colleagues, handling queries with discretion.
  • Supporting multiple fee earners, prioritising workloads and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Assisting with matter management and billing processes.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, confidential approach.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage a busy and changing workload.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office (experience with legal systems is beneficial).
