Hydraulics Fitter

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Hydraulics Fitter to join a well-established and growing engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with a solid background in hydraulic systems to work on a variety of equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic systems and components
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic equipment
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
• Conduct pressure testing and system checks to ensure performance and safety
• Replace hoses, seals, valves, pumps, and cylinders as required
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Work both in the workshop and occasionally on-site (if required)
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Hydraulics Fitter or similar role
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
• Experience with fault finding and diagnostics
• Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
• Full UK driving licence (preferred/required depending on role)
• Relevant engineering qualification (advantageous but not essential)
• Experience with mobile plant, heavy machinery, or industrial equipment
• Welding or fabrication experience
• Knowledge of pneumatics or electrical systems
