Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: From £38,000 per annum + overtime (potential earnings up to £60,000)
Bonus: 10% sign-on bonus + company-wide bonus scheme
Shifts: Day and night shifts available with shift premiums

The Opportunity

We are recruiting experienced CNC Millers to join a modern precision engineering facility manufacturing complex, high-specification components used across advanced engineering sectors.

You will be working with multi-axis CNC machines in a quality-driven environment offering excellent earning potential, modern equipment and long-term career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC milling machines (3 axis and/or 5 axis)
  • Prepare machines including tooling, fixtures, offsets and probes
  • Load and edit CNC programs using CAM software or G-code
  • Perform first-off inspection and in-process checks
  • Machine precision components to tight tolerances
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies
  • Monitor tool wear and maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Troubleshoot machining or programming issues
  • Support continuous improvement and cycle time optimisation
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records
  • Follow quality standards including ISO9001 / AS9100 environments

Candidate Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a CNC Miller
  • Experience with 3 axis and/or 5 axis machining centres
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience with CAM software or G-code editing
  • Experience machining materials such as stainless steel, aluminium or titanium
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement equipment
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
