What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Engineering Excellence
Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex mechanical systems across various projects
Take ownership of mechanical engineering solutions, ensuring the highest standards in quality, performance, and innovation
Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, guiding their professional growth and supporting their career development
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall project designs
Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving
Apply your technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and deliver creative solutions
Oversee the engineering analysis, design calculations, and performance testing of mechanical systems
Drive the development of mechanical engineering strategies that optimise efficiency, cost, and sustainability
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client specifications
Project Management & Delivery
Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
Coordinate the integration of mechanical systems with other disciplines, ensuring cohesive project outcomes
Develop and manage engineering schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
Conduct regular reviews of project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure deadlines and quality targets are met
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements and delivering tailored engineering solutions
Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing technical advice and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports for clients, stakeholders, and senior management

Who You'll Be Working With
You will work closely with a diverse team, including:
Project Managers, Senior Engineers, and Designers
Internal teams in procurement, operations, and quality control
External stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and suppliers

What You Bring to the Table
Essential
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
Proven track record (10+ years) in mechanical engineering, with experience leading teams
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems design, analysis, and testing
Strong project management skills, including experience delivering projects on time and within budget
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Desirable
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience in a leadership or senior engineering role on large-scale projects
