Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing snagging and finishing work on residential properties based in Heybridge CM9.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
• Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and drywall installation
• Assist with installation of fixtures, appliances, and equipment as required
• Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition for optimal performance
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently
• Collaborate with property managers or clients to prioritize urgent repairs
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and parts used
• Support renovation projects by preparing work areas and assisting skilled tradespeople
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace during and after repairs

Experience

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
• Skilled in multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, or painting
• Knowledge of safety procedures and building regulations
• Ability to diagnose issues accurately and execute effective solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
• Valid driver s license preferred for travel between sites
