We are recruiting Graduate Learning Support Assistants to work in a supportive and inclusive school environment. This role is ideal for education graduates who want hands on experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence and engage positively with learning.

Many of the pupils you will support may have special educational needs, require additional academic support, or need help developing confidence, communication and social skills. Your role will be to support both learning and personal development, helping pupils feel supported, included and capable in the classroom.

This position provides valuable classroom experience and insight into how schools support pupils with different learning needs and abilities.

You will gain experience in:

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
• Working alongside teachers to deliver lessons and interventions
• Supporting literacy, numeracy and classroom engagement
• Building positive relationships with pupils
• Understanding classroom behaviour and learning strategies
• Supporting pupils' confidence, independence and social development

Many graduates use this role as a pathway into teacher training, PGCE courses, school-based teacher training, educational psychology, SEN teaching or pastoral roles.

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting the teacher during lessons and classroom activities
• Helping pupils who need extra support with reading, writing and maths
• Supporting pupils with special educational needs or learning difficulties
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Supporting classroom routines and lesson preparation
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to support pupil progress
• Being a positive role model for pupils

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• A degree in Education or a related subject
• Experience working with children or young people (schools, tutoring, youth work, coaching, volunteering or care)
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude
• An interest in teaching, SEN, pastoral work or educational psychology
• A willingness to learn and get involved in school life

No extensive school experience is required. Enthusiasm, reliability and a genuine interest in working in education are the most important qualities.
