Environmental Protection Officer

One of my local authority clients in the East of England are currently on the search for an Environmental Protection Officer.

• Role: Environmental Protection Officer
• Rate: negotiable
• Start date: ASAP
• Working pattern: 2/3 days on site
• 37hrs
• Contract Length: 6 months

Role duties:

• Strong understanding of relevant legislation in Environmental Protection
• Ability to manage complex case work independently
• Responsible for undertaking a varied caseload of Environmental Protection work
• Dealing with investigations of statutory nuisance complaints, eg smoke odour and other environmental impacts
• Carry out inspections, liaise with businesses, residents and take appropriate enforcement actions
