As a Food Technology Teaching Assistant, you will become part of a team that empowers students to become confident learners and valuable future leaders within the local community.

Role Responsibilities
  • Support the Food Technology teacher with lesson preparation, demonstrations, and practical sessions.
  • Supervise and assist students during practical cooking tasks.
  • Prepare ingredients, equipment, and classroom resources.
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised learning environment.
  • Provide targeted support to individual learners or small groups to help them progress.
  • Encourage a love for food, nutrition, and practical skills.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with young people or within a secondary school setting.
  • A passion for Food Technology, nutrition, or practical learning environments.
  • A positive, proactive, and supportive attitude.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice (training provided if needed).
