Health and Safety Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week between 7:30am and 6:00pm, including 1 hour lunch. Flexibility required to support other shifts, including nights.
Please note: This role is based across two manufacturing sites located approximately one mile apart. A full UK driving licence is essential.
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading FMCG food manufacturer for an experienced HSE Manager. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of Health & Safety while driving environmental and sustainability improvements across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation including PUWER, DSEAR, Working at Height and Fire Safety
Act as the main contact for regulatory bodies including HSE and Fire Authority
Lead Health & Safety meetings, risk assessments and incident investigations
Oversee RIDDOR reporting, audits and insurance compliance
Health
Support occupational health and health surveillance programmes
Maintain accurate records and support capability and claims processes
Environmental
Monitor energy usage and support sustainability initiatives
Maintain environmental systems and reporting
About You
Experience in FMCG or a similar manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of industrial risks including COSHH, PUWER and DSEAR
NEBOSH Diploma with IOSH or IEMA membership preferred
At least 5 years in a senior Health & Safety role
Experience with ISO45001 and ISO14001 systems
Confident working with regulators and leading audits
Proactive, organised and able to influence across teams
Flexible to support a 24 7 operation
