Location: Primary Schools across South Tyneside
Pay: £507 - £550 per week (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday Full-time / Part-time

Milk Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants with a Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification to work across a variety of welcoming primary schools in South Tyneside.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, develop your skills, and make a real impact on pupils' learning and development.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support both teachers and pupils to ensure a positive and effective learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Supporting pupils with additional needs (including SEND)
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Preparing learning resources and supporting classroom organisation
- Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about working with children and supporting their development:
- Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
- A genuine passion for education
