Year 1 Teaching Assistant
Milk Education is partnering with a primary school in Hindley Green (WN2) to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to support two Year 1 pupils with SEND on a 1-2-2 basis. This role begins immediately and is a long-term temporary position until July 2026.
The Year 1 Teaching Assistant role is full-time, working Monday to Friday and the working hours are 08:30am- 15:30pm.
The school is seeking a patient, nurturing individual who can provide consistent support, keep the children focused, and help to meet their individual learning needs. Responsibilities include preparing resources, supporting daily tasks, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment. Experience with SEND and a calm, supportive approach are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-two support for two Year 1 pupils
- Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
- Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
- Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism (desirable)
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the child's academic and emotional development
