Connected Vehicle Validation Engineer
Cranfield (Hybrid) - 6 Months + Extension
About the Role
We're hiring a Connected Vehicle Validation Engineer to support the testing and validation of cutting edge connected car and telematics systems. This is a hands on role working across vehicle systems, mobile apps, and wearable technology, ideal for a junior or mid level engineer looking to grow in automotive validation.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end validation testing of connected vehicle features
- Test connected services via mobile apps and smart devices
- Raise and manage incident tickets through to resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis and fault investigation
- Ensure vehicle-level quality, functionality, and reliability
- Prepare test environments and validation resources
- Support data analysis and test automation using Python
Skills & Experience
- Experience in validation, testing, or automotive engineering (desirable)
- Knowledge of Python (data analysis, scripting, or automation)
- Understanding of validation processes / test methodologies
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong communication skills
Requirements
- Full UK or EU driving licence (essential)
- Willingness to travel internationally (short term trips)
- Flexible approach to hybrid working (Cranfield site attendance required)
