The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join a talented team in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued growth of a dynamic consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ground investigation projects from inception to completion
• Undertake and supervise site work, including logging soils and rock
• Develop ground models and provide geotechnical interpretations
• Prepare and review factual and interpretative reports
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and client relationships
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
• Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies

Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
• Proven experience within a UK consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Experience managing projects and supervising site works
• Working towards or holding Chartered status (CGeol or similar)
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Experience with contaminated land assessments
• Knowledge of geotechnical design principles
• Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks
