Support Workers Needed - Speech, Language & Communication (SEND)

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Academics is currently recruiting dedicated Support Workers to work in SEND school settings across Huddersfield, supporting pupils with speech, language and communication (SLC) needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in children's development, helping them build confidence, communication skills, and independence.

About the role:

• Supporting children with speech, language and communication needs in a classroom setting
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and speech & language specialists
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Helping to implement tailored learning and communication strategies
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting children with SLC needs (either professionally or personally)
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for working with children with SEND
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
