Interventions Teaching Assistant - EYFS & KS1 Camden, NW1 (commutable from King's Cross, Euston, Kentish Town, Islington, Bloomsbury)£105-£120 per dayStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-time, long-term temporaryLong Term Futures is seeking a proactive and skilled Interventions Teaching Assistant to support a Reception pupil with non-verbal ASD, alongside delivering targeted interventions across EYFS and KS1 in a welcoming Camden primary school.This is a split-role position, ideal for someone who enjoys combining specialist 1:1 SEN support with broader intervention work to raise attainment and support early development.About the RoleWorking closely with the class teacher and SENCo, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing focused 1:1 support for a non-verbal Reception pupil following a structured 90-minute timetable
  • Supporting communication using visual aids, PECS, Makaton or similar strategies
  • Assisting with sensory needs, routines and emotional regulation
  • Delivering small-group interventions across EYFS and KS1, including phonics, early language and numeracy
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning
  • Encouraging engagement, communication and independence
  • Monitoring progress and feeding back to staff to refine support strategies

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will make a direct impact on both individual pupil progress and wider intervention outcomes.Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience supporting non-verbal ASD or complex communication needs
  • Confident delivering interventions in EYFS and KS1
  • Knowledge of SALT strategies, PECS, Makaton or visual communication tools
  • Calm, patient and structured approach
  • Proactive and able to manage both 1:1 and group responsibilities
  • Committed to a long-term role
